A
daughter of Watertown industrialist William P Herring, Pauline
Dillenback lived the life of a woman of wealth. Her life
might be termed unremarkable were it not for her conscientious
and productive attention to the financial responsibility she bore
for so many years. She observed with pride that she brought
her family's estate through the depression without loss.
Upon her death in 1971 at age 103, her estate came to the Northern New
York Community Foundation, providing the nucleus for the Foundation's
scholarship and grantmaking program...You too can count on the Northern
New York Community Foundation to turn caring into commitment. We
make it easy to be a philanthropist now and for generations to come. Please
contact us for more information.
