Our vision is to serve as a gathering place for community philanthropy; a physical place where we welcome donors, nonprofit, and community organizations to join together, address community issues of shared concern, and promote improved quality of life for our region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color\">Book a room<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Local nonprofit and community organizations are able to schedule a meeting at the <strong>Philanthropy Center<\/strong> during the Community Foundation\u2019s operating hours. Organizations are required to review and submit the Community Foundation&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/nnycf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/ADM150_Building_Use_Policy_NNYPC.pdf\"><strong>Building Use Policy form<\/strong><\/a> for each meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re interested in meeting at the Philanthropy Center, please call the Community Foundation office to confirm that your organization is eligible:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Phone:<\/strong> 315-782-7110<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color\">Building access<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Philanthropy Center<\/strong> complies with the Americans With Disabilities Act and is fully accessible to all, regardless of physical ability. An elevator that is audibly equipped for the visually impaired is in the main lobby.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"mai-column is-column has-md-padding has-background has-light-background has-shadow has-border\" style=\"--flex-xs:0 0 100%;--columns-sm:1 \/ 2;--flex-sm:0 0 var(--flex-basis);--columns-md:1 \/ 2;--flex-md:0 0 var(--flex-basis);--columns-lg:1 \/ 2;--flex-lg:0 0 var(--flex-basis);--justify-content:start;background:#ecf5e6;\">\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color\">Location<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Northern New York Philanthropy Center<\/strong> is located at <strong>131 Washington St., Watertown, N.Y.<\/strong> Its main entrance is on the back side of the building, not the Washington Street side. The Philanthropy Center opened its doors in February 2017 as the permanent home of the <strong>Northern New York Community Foundation<\/strong>, which occupies the entire second floor and owns and manages the facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color\">Hours<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Philanthropy Center<\/strong> is open to guests and visitors weekdays, <strong>Monday through Friday<\/strong>, from <strong>8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.<\/strong> The Philanthropy Center is not open for use outside of regular operating hours. The Philanthropy Center is closed for all federal holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color\">Parking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-no-margin-bottom wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Philanthropy Center<\/strong> offers limited parking for building guests and visitors on site. Street parking is available. Additionally, there are several public parking lots nearby, such as the J.B. Wise lot and the Stone Street lot. Please contact the Foundation if you need more information. Parking spaces behind 215 Washington Street are <strong>not<\/strong> available.
