You can do this several ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mention the grant support<\/strong>&nbsp;in your organization\u2019s materials and on <strong>social media<\/strong>. When doing so, please use the following language:&nbsp;<em>Funding provided (or funded in part) by a grant from the Northern New York Community Foundation.&nbsp;<strong>Note:<\/strong> Northern New York is spelled out and not abbreviated as \u201cNNY.\u201d Please also avoid referring to the Community Foundation as NNYCF. &nbsp;<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Create a link on your website<\/strong>&nbsp;to The Community Foundation. By including a link to our website, you help increase traffic to both our sites. You can also include the Foundation\u2019s logo on your website, when appropriate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Include the Community Foundation\u2019s name and logo<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 Northern New York Community Foundation \u2014 on signs or plaques that recognize donors at your events or facilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Follow our social media<\/strong>&nbsp;and tag us if you mention us on yours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Issue a news release<\/strong>&nbsp;to the media. Remember to tell your story through the people you help and the impact you have on your community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Support&nbsp;The Community Foundation\u2019s marketing<\/strong> efforts&nbsp;by submitting stories of your successes and your work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Capture and share appealing images<\/strong>&nbsp;using <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nnycf.org\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Photo_Submission_Guidelines_2026.pdf\">this guide<\/a><\/strong>. We feature grant recipients in our printed publications, on our website and in social media. Please share your images with us. With advance<br>notice, we may be able to attend events or visit programs. When submitting photos, please include a brief description that may be used to credit you and your photographer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:36px\">Style guidance<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-28c6b463d3cd9cba4a83d5fd33f7b2c7\">Our name and description<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please use <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">Northern New York Community Foundation<\/mark><\/strong> when referring to the organization. When including a description, please use the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The Northern New York Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization that serves Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties. The Foundation is a permanent resource that facilitated $5.3 million in charitable giving last year. The Community Foundation inspires philanthropy and mobilizes resources to enrich lives and communities across Northern New York.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1ff9339794718c5a61087e09053c9203\">If your grant was made by an affiliate fund<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your organization has received a grant from one of our four affiliate Community Funds, please list the funding source this way:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Funding for this program was provided by (name of affiliate), a Northern New York Community Foundation affiliate. The (name of affiliate) is a permanent endowment established to support the charitable needs of our community.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3667c141d3aef400d3fb3cff1e322335\">If your grant was made by a named legacy fund<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your organization has received a grant from one of our many named legacy funds, you may use the Community Foundation\u2019s primary logo to recognize your grant with the funding source listed this way:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Funding for this (program, project, or initiative) was provided by (named legacy fund) of the Northern New York Community Foundation.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-111aee13678845f75cea6733a6ca491f\">Community Foundation logos<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We encourage you to use our logo where suitable.
