Community Foundation Announces 2019 Opportunities Through the Carolyn Whitney Fund<\/i><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 The Northern New York Community Foundation encourages nonprofit organizations or government entities to apply for up to $3,000 in 2019 grant funding for tree planting initiatives in the City of Watertown.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 Grant support is made possible through a fund established by the estate of Carolyn Whitney.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 In 2018, funding was awarded to the City of Watertown to plant approximately 40 trees as part of a fall project. Since 2010, the Carolyn Whitney Fund at the Community Foundation has awarded more than $28,000 in grant support for 10 tree planting projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 The deadline to submit an application for consideration is Friday, April 19, 2019<\/b>. Grant awards will be announced following the Community Foundation\u2019s quarterly board meeting in June.
