The Watertown Sunrise Rotary Club Foundation is a charitable fund of the Northern New York Community Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><span class=\"s2\">\u201cWe are thrilled to safely bring this event back to an in-person format after the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to cancel it the past two years,\u201d said Kraig Everard, Watertown Sunrise Rotary Club president. \u201cWe encourage all eligible North Country nonprofits to apply for grant support. It is also the fourth year Watertown Sunrise Rotary has exclusively produced a Taste the of the Town event, returning for its 19th year with an in-person event slated for <b>Saturday, April 23, 2022<\/b>, from <b>11 a.m. to 2 p.m.<\/b> at the <b>Jefferson Community College McVean Center Gymnasium<\/b>.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>The deadline to submit a proposal for consideration is <b>Monday, April 4, 2022<\/b>. Applicants should focus on projects or initiatives that address community needs. All grant applications must be submitted online through the Northern New York Community Foundation\u2019s Grant Portal at <a href=\"https:\/\/nnycf.org\/new\/grants\"><b>nnycf.org\/grants<\/b><\/a>. Local food lovers are invited to <\/span>taste samples from participating restaurants during the one-day, single location event and cast a vote for their favorite. The event will be held in compliance with ongoing COVID-19 safety precautions for events in large venues. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Restaurants that would like to participate in Taste of the Town may reserve a spot today and register online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tasteofthetownnny.com\"><b>tasteofthetownnny.com<\/b><\/a><b>\u00a0<\/b>or email <a href=\"mailto:tasteofthetownnny@gmail.com\"><b>tasteofthetownnny@gmail.com<\/b><\/a> to learn more. Each year, more than 1,000 people participate in the event to sample cuisine from locally owned and nationally franchised food establishments. The event is also a fundraiser that helps to support North Country nonprofits.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Proceeds from this family-fun event provide funding for Watertown Sunrise Rotary and a North Country nonprofit organization that, through a competitive grant application, is awarded a Watertown Sunrise Rotary Foundation Taste of the Town grant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Watertown Sunrise Rotary\u2019s main objective is service to the community, in the workplace, and around the globe.
