The second quarter deadline to apply for the general grant program, and each of the following grant opportunities, is<b> Friday, April 22<\/b>:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-4658\" src=\"https:\/\/nnycf.org\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/NNYCF_OpenGrants_Q22022-1024x602.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"602\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nnycf.org\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/NNYCF_OpenGrants_Q22022-300x176.jpg 300w, https:\/\/nnycf.org\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/NNYCF_OpenGrants_Q22022-768x452.jpg 768w, https:\/\/nnycf.org\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/NNYCF_OpenGrants_Q22022-1024x602.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/nnycf.org\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/NNYCF_OpenGrants_Q22022-1536x903.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/nnycf.org\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/NNYCF_OpenGrants_Q22022-2048x1204.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><b>Kenneth V. and Jeannette Remp Sawyer Community Fund \u2014<\/b> Support for programs, projects and initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents of all ages in the Boonville, Constableville, and<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Westernville communities. Up to $50,000 is available this year.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><b>Orchestral Fund \u2014 <\/b>Support for live orchestral performances in the Watertown area. Eligible nonprofit organizations are required to have at least 20 performers in the group with an instrumental component. Up to $25,000 is available this year.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><b>George R. Davis Fund for Lowville \u2014<\/b> Support for programs, projects and initiatives that impact the quality of life for residents in the Village and Town of Lowville. Up to $15,000 is available this year.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><b>Carolyn Whitney Fund \u2014<\/b> Support for tree planting projects in the City of Watertown. Up to $4,500 is available this year.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><b>The Lighthouse Fund \u2014<\/b> Support to nonprofit organizations providing services to disadvantaged and vulnerable populations in the Cape Vincent and Clayton communities. Up to $2,000 is available this year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Applications for each grant opportunity are available through the Community Foundation\u2019s Grant Lifecycle Manager (GLM) system, which may be accessed at <a href=\"https:\/\/nnycf.org\/new\/grants\"><b>nnycf.org\/grants<\/b><\/a>. The online portal allows nonprofits to create an organization user profile and apply for active grant opportunities. The Foundation encourages nonprofits to set up a single user account for their organization. The portal features a simple interface that guides users through step-by-step instructions on how to apply. Resources are available on the Foundation\u2019s website and on the portal\u2019s log-in page to learn more about the process.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>To be eligible for Community Foundation grants, nonprofits must be classified as a 501(c)(3) organization by the IRS. Other entities may be eligible depending on the request.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Additional grant opportunities through the Community Foundation will become available on the GLM platform in the coming months.
