{"id":6279,"date":"2024-03-06T20:56:12","date_gmt":"2024-03-06T20:56:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnycf.org\/?p=6279"},"modified":"2024-03-06T20:56:12","modified_gmt":"2024-03-06T20:56:12","slug":"2024-scholarship-deadline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnycf.org\/new\/2024-scholarship-deadline\/","title":{"rendered":"Deadline to Apply for 2024-25 Scholarships Fast Approaching"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\\\"p2\\\"><span class=\\\"s1\\\"><i>Students Have More Opportunities Than Ever Before for Educational Support<\/i><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\\\"p3\\\"><i> <\/i><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><b>WATERTOWN \u2014<\/b> High School seniors in Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties have just over a week remaining to complete a free application for Community Foundation scholarship support.<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"p3\\\"><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Members of the graduating class of 2024 who plan to enroll in post-secondary programs this fall must complete their applications through the Community Foundation\u2019s online scholarship portal by next <b>Friday, March 15<\/b>. The application portal may be accessed at <a href=\\\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/nnycf-scholarships\\\"><b>bit.ly\/nnycf-scholarships<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\\\"p3\\\"><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Tri-county high school seniors who will enroll as full-time undergraduates this fall may apply. Students pursuing technical, trade, or vocational school may also apply and should complete the same application. All students should thoroughly read all application instructions. Students who have achieved all levels of academic success are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"p3\\\"><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Last year, the Community Foundation partnered to award 900 scholarships totaling nearly $1.4 million that helped more than 600 students attend two- and four-year colleges and universities, as well as technical, trade, and vocational schools and programs.<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"p3\\\"><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Since 1980, the Community Foundation has awarded more than $22 million in scholarships to students who live in the tri-county region. In addition to its own scholarship awards, the Community Foundation annually administers nearly 500 scholarships established by individual donors, business, and organizations as well as scholarship funds on behalf of 32 school districts across the three counties.<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"p3\\\"><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>\u201cAs we near the scholarship deadline, the most important message we want to convey is that there are <span class=\\\"s2\\\">scholarships available for just about every type of student across the tri-county region,\u201d said Rande S.
