{"id":6360,"date":"2023-08-21T17:40:14","date_gmt":"2023-08-21T17:40:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnycf.org\/?p=5859"},"modified":"2023-08-21T17:40:14","modified_gmt":"2023-08-21T17:40:14","slug":"micro-grant-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnycf.org\/new\/micro-grant-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Community Foundation Launches Micro-Grant Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\\\"p2\\\"><span class=\\\"s1\\\"><i>Tri-County Nonprofits in Need of Support May Apply for up to $2,500 each<span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\\\"p3\\\"><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><b>WATERTOWN \u2014 <\/b>Tri-county nonprofit organizations seeking assistance may now apply for support through the Northern New York Community Foundation\u2019s new <b>Micro-Grant Program<\/b>.<span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\\\"p3\\\"><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>The grant program provides up to $2,500 in funding to eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations for programs and projects that align with the Foundation\u2019s mission and demonstrate clear community benefit.<span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\\\"p3\\\"><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>The Community Foundation continues to recognize the importance of responding and adapting to the rapidly evolving needs of local nonprofits. Through the generosity of thoughtful donors, the Foundation is entrusted to deploy grants that positively impact a variety of community needs in a timely fashion. The Foundation\u2019s Micro-Grant Program is designed to assist nonprofits with effective funding for priority projects and requests outside of the Foundation\u2019s regular quarterly competitive grantmaking schedule.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\\\"wp-image-5874 alignleft\\\" src=\\\"https:\/\/nnycf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/NNYCF_Vertical_primary_no_tag-902x1024.png\\\" alt=\\\"\\\" width=\\\"362\\\" height=\\\"411\\\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\\\"p3\\\"><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>\u201cWe hope this new program will help facilitate and streamline the rapid deployment of grant funding in a way that minimizes obstacles to getting charitable support to work in the tri-county region,\u201d said Rande S. Richardson, Community Foundation executive director. \u201cWhile we will continue to maintain our quarterly grantmaking cycle for larger requests, we will now be able to respond to the more immediate needs of organizations doing important work in the communities they serve.\u201d<span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\\\"p3\\\"><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Eligible nonprofit organizations must be located in and serving Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
