{"id":7647,"date":"2025-10-06T19:09:14","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T19:09:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnycf.org\/?p=7647"},"modified":"2025-10-06T19:09:14","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T19:09:14","slug":"2025-six-town-rfp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnycf.org\/new\/2025-six-town-rfp\/","title":{"rendered":"Community Foundation\u2019s Six Town Community Fund Now Accepting Proposals for 2025 Grant Funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\\\"p3\\\"><span class=\\\"s1\\\"><i>Up to $10,000 Available for Nonprofits Serving Southern Jefferson County Residents<\/i><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\\\"p5\\\"><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><b> <span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0 <\/span>ADAMS \u2014 <\/b>Nonprofit organizations serving southern Jefferson County residents may now apply for <span class=\\\"s2\\\">up to $10,000 in grant funding through the <b>Six Town Community Fund<\/b> of the Northern New York <\/span>Community Foundation.<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"p5\\\"><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>This geographic fund provides support for local projects, programs, and initiatives that enhance the quality of life in the towns of <b>Adams<\/b>, <b>Ellisburg<\/b>, <b>Henderson<\/b>, <b>Lorraine<\/b>, <b>Rodman<\/b>, and <b>Worth<\/b>. Eligible organizations must actively serve residents of these communities. Requests may focus on assisting with local needs related to health and wellness, families and youth, arts and culture, history, education and more.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\\\"p5\\\"><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>All organizations applying for funding must do so by <b>Friday, Oct. 24, 2025<\/b>, through the Foundation\u2019s online Grant Lifecycle Manager, which may be accessed at <a href=\\\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/grant-portal\\\"><b>bit.ly\/grant-portal<\/b><\/a>. Nonprofit organizations with a 501(c)(3) classification are eligible and invited to apply. Funding decisions will be determined in December and announced shortly thereafter.<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"p5\\\"><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Last year, five nonprofit organizations shared $7,500 in Six Town Community Fund grant support. The Historical Association of South Jefferson was awarded $2,500 to help replace windows in the Ripley House on the association\u2019s Church Street campus; Adams Free Library received $2,000 to help purchase two new computers; Henderson Harbor Water Sports Programs was awarded $1,000 to help provide swimming and boater safety courses; South Jefferson Central School District received $1,000 to help launch a community book study to empower local youth; and the Volunteer Transportation Center Foundation was awarded $1,000 to support mileage reimbursement for volunteer drivers who provide essential medical transportation for Six Town residents.<\/p>\n<p class=\\\"p5\\\"><span class=\\\"Apple-converted-space\\\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>The Six Town Community Fund was established in 2013 through the generosity of many donors as a permanent, charitable resource to support nonprofits serving southern Jefferson County. Since the fund began awarding grants in 2015, it has provided nearly $55,000 in support to assist with 51 different community service projects and programs. These have included community improvement projects, youth programs, new events, equipment purchases, and facility upgrades.
