SCHOLARSHIPS IS NOW OPEN * * *

Freshman Scholarship Application — An online application for high school seniors (Class of 2023) in Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties who are applying for freshman year admission to a two- or four-year college or vocational, technical, or trade school. This application meets the requirements of an abundance of different scholarships. While the initial application is due Wednesday, March 15, for most opportunities, other opportunities may have different deadlines, which are listed below. Once you have submitted your initial application, other scholarship opportunities may open. Be sure to click on any hyperlinks to complete additional requirements so your application can be considered for all opportunities you may qualify for! — Application Deadline: Wednesday, March 15, 2023

Nontraditional Scholarship Application — Nontraditional students from Jefferson, Lewis, or St. Lawrence counties who are applying for admission in any year or study to a two- or four-year college or vocational, technical, or trade school, either full or part time. Nontraditional students are those who have had a break in their post-secondary education and are returning to school. — Application Deadline: Thursday, June 1, 2023

George C. Boldt Scholarship — Application Deadline: Saturday, April 1, 2023

Rotary Purple Heart Scholarship Application — Jefferson, Lewis, or St. Lawrence county residents who were awarded a Purple Heart by the U.S. armed forces or are a dependent — spouse or child — of a U.S. military member or veteran who was awarded the Purple Heart. Purple Heart Scholarship applications are reviewed throughout the year until all available funds for the academic year are awarded. — Applications Accepted Throughout the Year on a Rolling Basis

10th Mountain Division (Light) Scholarship — Awarded to active or former 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) members or family members — spouse or child — of an active or former 10th Mountain Division soldier. The applicant or their military sponsor must also be a member of the National Association of the 10th Mountain Division. Scholarship applicants may live anywhere and be in any year of full-time undergraduate study. — Application Deadline: Saturday, April 15, 2023

Evergreen STEM Scholarship — High School Juniors (Class of 2024) who live in St. Lawrence County only. Awarded to high school juniors in St. Lawrence County who plan to study and work in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics fields only. Scholarships will be awarded in the summer 2021. However, actual award checks will not be presented until summer 2022 as students head to college. — Application Deadline: Thursday, June 1, 2023

Michelle D. Salisbury Memorial Scholarship — Northern Credit Union, in partnership with the Northern New York Community Foundation, awards the Michelle D. Salisbury Memorial Scholarship upon high school graduation to one student in each of the school districts in Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties as well as the Pulaski and Sandy Creek school districts. The scholarship is in memory of Michelle D. Salisbury, a Northern Credit Union team member and Jefferson County native who passed away in 2009. — Application Deadline: Monday, May 1, 2023

North Side Legacy Fund Scholarship — The North Side Legacy Fund was established in 2019 as a permanent fund of the Northern New York Community Foundation to forever honor and perpetuate the history and heritage of the North Side Improvement League. Scholarships are awarded annually to high school seniors who are City of Watertown residents, as well as students with family ties to the league, and who plan first-time enrollment in the fall as full-time undergraduate freshman students. Students who plan to attend post-secondary technical, trade or vocational school are also eligible and encouraged to apply. — Application Deadline: Saturday, April 15, 2023

Frances Anderson Luck Foundation Scholarship — A component fund of Northern New York Community Foundation offers scholarships to students accepted to or enrolled in American Veterinary Medical Association-accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or veterinary technician programs with a focus on small animals, especially canines. — Application Deadline: Thursday, June 1, 2023

Vici and Steve Diehl Foundation Graduate Scholarships — A component fund of Northern New York Community Foundation offers scholarships to students pursuing graduate degrees in Environmental Studies or Music. Applicants must have graduated from a high school in Jefferson, Lewis, or St. Lawrence county. — Application Deadline: Thursday, June 1, 2023
