MASSENA — Air Products, in partnership with the Northern New York Community Foundation, announced today a $25,000 grant from the Air Products Foundation to support the establishment of the Air Products Greater Massena Scholarship Fund.

Scholarships of up to $5,000 per applicant are available to students who live in St. Lawrence or Franklin counties who are applying for admission in any year of study to a college or university, or vocational, technical, or trade school. Students pursuing all avenues of education, including adult learning, are encouraged to apply for the scholarships, though special consideration will be given to students pursuing STEM education, skilled trade sciences, or expressing a specific interest in environmental conservation or clean energy.

“Air Products is committed to sustainable operations and supporting the communities where we live and work.      Air Products has partnered with the Community Foundation to oversee administration of the fund and manage its awards.

“We are grateful to Air Products for its generosity and look forward to working alongside its team to support students throughout the Massena area,” said Rande Richardson, Community Foundation executive director. “Being able to align with those who have a strong commitment for the betterment of the community is an honor.”

The scholarship application is now open. Students who live in St. Lawrence and Franklin counties who plan to continue their education are encouraged to apply through the Community Foundation’s scholarship portal. Applications are due by Monday, April 1, 2024.
