Local non-profit organizations and community groups in the southern Jefferson County towns of Adams, Ellisburg, Henderson, Lorraine, Rodman, and Worth are encouraged to apply for a grant from the Six Town Community Fund. The charitable fund is administered by the Northern New York Community Foundation and supports projects and activities that enhance the quality of life in the targeted communities. Applications are due November 17, 2017.
The Six Town Community Fund has awarded a total of $10,000 in grant funds to support 13 different community projects and programs in southern Jefferson County over the past two years. The community fund was established in 2012 as a permanent philanthropic resource to positively impact the quality of life in the Six Town region in perpetuity.
$5,000 in total grant support is available for this year’s round of grant making. A series of public workshops to discuss grant guidelines will be offered in the late September-early October time frame. Grant awards will be announced in December.

The Northern New York Community Foundation makes grants to support the work of non-profit organizations and provides scholarships to individuals in Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties.
