Nonprofit Organizations Serving Tri-County Residents Encouraged to Attend
WATERTOWN — The Northern New York Community Foundation will host a series of information sessions to connect tri-county nonprofit organizations with opportunities for grant funding and partnerships that impact nonprofit capacity and sustainability.
All nonprofit organizations, including new and seasoned grant applicants are encouraged to attend. Each session will feature funding opportunities, best practices, and ample time to ask questions.
“We want to bring more information about opportunities the Community Foundation offers directly to our local nonprofits,” said Max DelSignore, Community Foundation assistant director. “These sessions will allow us to share resources, provide guidance, and generate meaningful conversations with agencies doing critical work across our region.”
Three sessions, one in each county, are scheduled as follows:
- Lewis County — Tuesday, March 31, 9-10 a.m., Maple Ridge Center Manor House, 7421 East Road, Lowville
- Jefferson County — Wednesday, April 1, 9-10 a.m., Northern New York Philanthropy Center, 131 Washington St., Watertown
- St. Lawrence County — Thursday, April 2, 9-10 a.m., Potsdam Public Museum/Village of Potsdam, 2 Park St., Potsdam
The Northern New York Community Foundation allows tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that serve Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence county residents to apply for grants to fund innovative programs, projects and initiatives that positively affect the quality of life in the region.
Programs and projects eligible for funding are responsive to community needs in areas that include human services, health and wellness, arts and culture, education, families, youth and/or elders, conservation and environment, community development, recreation and more.
