Air Products Establishes $50,000 Community Fund for Massena in Partnership With Foundation

May 24, 2024 By admin

Applications for Up to $7,500 in Funding Per Applicant Due Wednesday, July 31

MASSENA — Air Products, in partnership with the Community Foundation, recently announced a $50,000 grant from the Air Products Foundation to support the establishment of the Air Products Greater Massena Community Fund.

Grants of up to $7,500 per applicant are open to qualified and approved 501(c)(3) organizations and local governing bodies for programs, projects, and initiatives that improve the quality of life for residents in the Greater Massena community and St. Regis Mohawk Reservation. Focus will be on supporting a variety of community needs in areas including, but not limited to, health and wellness, arts and culture, human services, education, families, youth and/or elders, environment and conservation, community development, and recreation. Each request will be evaluated for its potential impact on the Greater Massena community and its ability to support disadvantaged communities.

“We are grateful to have the opportunity to give back to the communities where we live and work. We have established the Air Products Greater Massena Community Fund to build out programs that benefit the community as a whole,” said Trip Oliver, director of government and community relations at Air Products.

Air Products has partnered with the Northern New York Community Foundation to oversee administration of the fund and manage its awards.

“We are excited to work alongside Air Products to uphold our mission to serve our community,” said Rande Richardson, Community Foundation executive director. “Our team is looking forward to assisting the team and the region’s nonprofits to obtain their goals and see this region prosper.”

The Northern New York Community Foundation is currently accepting grant applications. All qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations and local governing bodies located in St. Lawrence or Franklin Counties which serve the Massena community and Akwesasne nation are encouraged to apply through the foundation’s grant portal. Applications are due by July 31, 2024. Contact Kraig Everard, kraig@nnycf.org, or 315-782-7110, Community Foundation director of stewardship and programs, to learn more about this opportunity.

Air Products previously announced the $25,000 Air Products Greater Massena Scholarship Fund, a separate endeavor in partnership with the Northern New York Community Foundation.
